This Research Institute aims to study individual, social and national harms caused by alcohol and to develop alcohol intervention programs and policies. It also aims to search for and help to implement current international collaborative and research activities. |

The following are specific activities: |
1. Research the epidemiology of alcohol at domestic and international levels.
2. Research alcohol-related projects upon request from the local government or non-government organizations.
3. Develop effectivealcohol intervention programs
4. Develop modern alcohol control policies at national and international levels
5. Develop an international alcohol harms research network
6. Hold various alcohol-related seminars and publish scholarly literature
7. Develop workforce resources and support alcohol harms education and prevention |
